At one point in my life I was plagued by the following questions:
-What am I doing here?
-Does my living make any difference?
-Where am I going?
-Am I working just to make enough money to keep working?

And then the most important question:
-Is there a God? And if there is, what difference does it make?

After six years of asking questions, reading books, and facing doubts, I was hooked. I knelt down by the desk in my study and said, "I don't know everything about you, but I know enough to want to know you better. I'm not much, but I'm yours. Do what you will with my life."

So don't expect me to be objective about Jesus. If I could, I would, but I can't. And to be perfectly honest with you, I don't know how anyone can be objective about Jesus. He doesn't allow objectivity. He forces Himself to be the issue, and then He calls for decision. In Matthew 16, there is a discussion between Jesus and His disciples. Jesus asked His disciples what people were saying about Him. They gave Jesus a number of answers. Then Jesus said, "But who do you say that I am?" (verse 15)

Jesus is still going around asking that question. I have yet answered that question for myself. My hope is that this book will help you find an answer for yourself.
